Welcome to Iowa Dental Implants & Oral Surgery
Welcome, we’re so glad you are here! We know that visiting a new doctor, especially for oral surgery, can feel a little intimidating. That’s why we have designed our entire practice around supporting you and your comfort. From the moment you walk through our doors, our goal is to make you feel at home.
What to Expect
We believe that knowing what will happen during your visit helps patients feel more relaxed. Here is a little preview of your first visit with us:
- A Warm Welcome: Our friendly front desk team will greet you with a smile and help you get settled. We’ll double-check your details to make sure we have everything we need.
- Tour of Our Office: We want you to feel comfortable in our space. We’ll give you a quick tour so you know where everything is and can see the care we put into our facility.
- Comprehensive Evaluation: You’ll sit down with our team to talk about your dental history and any concerns you have. We listen first because nobody knows your mouth better than you do.
- Diagnostic Imaging: To give you the best care possible, we often need to see what’s happening beneath the surface. We may take digital X-rays or 3D scans to get a clear picture of your oral health.
Patient Comfort and Safety
Your safety is our top priority. We use leading-edge technology to ensure that the diagnosis is accurate, and that your treatment is precise. But technology isn’t just about results; it’s also about making your experience gentler.
We follow strict infection control protocols to keep you safe. Additionally, we offer various sedation options to minimize discomfort and help you relax, whether you are here for a simple check-up or a procedure. With us, you’re in safe, capable hands.
The Iowa Dental Implants & Oral Surgery Difference
Every patient is unique, and your care should be too. We don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” solutions. Instead, we build a customized treatment plan that fits your specific needs, goals, and lifestyle.
We take the time to explain your treatment options simply and clearly. We want you to feel informed in your decisions. This is your time to ask questions, share any concerns, and get honest answers. We are partners in your health journey, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
Common Questions
Here are answers to some of our most common questions.
Please bring a valid photo ID and your dental insurance card if you have one. It is also very helpful to bring a list of any medications you are currently taking. If your dentist gave you a referral slip or X-rays, please bring those along too.
Most first visits take about 60 minutes. We want to make sure we have enough time to get to know you and your story, complete a thorough exam, and answer all your questions at a relaxed pace.
After we finish your exam and discuss your goals, we will review your personalized treatment plan together. We will talk about the next steps, scheduling, and any financial arrangements, so you know exactly what to expect before you leave.
